The Mimic Rebirth's Book Guide

Updated: 2026-08-23

Status & Release Window

Rebirth's Book is officially the fourth and final Book in The Mimic's main storyline. CTStudio has confirmed the arc in lore interviews, but a release date for Chapter I is not yet public. Community speculation tied to the Great Convergence Event of late 2025 points to a 2026 launch window, but treat any date as unconfirmed until CTStudio posts to Discord or Roblox group.

Until Chapter I ships, treat everything below as lore preview rather than walkthrough. We will fill in routes, entity tells, and timing notes once the chapter drops — and this page will switch to a full walkthrough the day CTStudio releases.

If you want to prep now, the best use of waiting time is to redeem active codes for Spirits and Revives, learn the lore ties from the lore page, and clear the Rage Chapter I badge so you can enter Rebirth with full Mimic fundamentals.

Yuma — Beast of Rebirth

Yuma (ユマ) is the Beast of Rebirth and the main antagonist of Book IV. She is depicted as a woman with light skin, long straight black hair that falls past her hips, and a white dress with long sleeves. She carries a grey parasol, and her silhouette in early teasers showed strands of hair covering the sides of her face — a deliberate contrast to the hulking Netamo and the puppet-themed Kintoru.

Her theme is Life and Decay. Where Control traps you in Kintoru's school and Jealousy drags you into Rin's cherry-blossom hellscape, Rebirth's chapters will likely explore a setting that breathes — overgrown gardens, blooming-with-rot flora, and environments that shift between growth and ruin mid-chapter.

In lore teasers the entity Shinigami was originally associated with the Rebirth theme before pivoting to Yuma. The pivot suggests Rebirth is not about death directly but about the cycle of rebirth that traps souls in the Beasts' Books.

Protagonist of Rebirth

CTStudio has hinted that the Rebirth protagonist is connected to all three previous heroes — Yasu of Control, Kai of Jealousy, and the unnamed Rage protagonist. This crossover implies Rebirth will resolve the Calamity loop that began with Hakaisha's original creation of the four Beasts.

The protagonist's design has not been revealed in final form as of August 2026. Teasers show a figure moving through the Garden of Souls with a lantern that flickers between green (life) and grey (decay) — likely an in-game mechanic tied to progression.

Because Rebirth ties the entire series together, expect callbacks to Control's school, Jealousy's cherry-blossom districts, Rage's sealed facility, and Witch Trials' Edo-period villages.

Garden of Souls — Expected Setting

The planned setting for Rebirth Chapter I is the Garden of Souls — a shifting landscape of life and death where flora blooms and withers in cycles tied to player progression. Lore notes describe the Garden as a liminal space between Hakaisha's gilded cage and the mortal world, where the Beasts' bindings converge.

Expect verticality to return — Rage's facility pacing and Jealousy's bridge sightlines trained players for layered geometry. Rebirth's Garden will likely stack growth platforms (vines, canopies) over decay pits (sunken soil, hollow roots).

Lantern mechanics will probably evolve. Yuma's aesthetic suggests a lantern that signals her presence — flickers, color shifts, or audio stings — so brightness stability will matter more than raw range.

Predicted Mechanics (Speculative)

These are community predictions from teases and CTStudio interviews — not confirmed mechanics. They will be marked with strikethroughs or moved below a "Confirmed" heading once Chapter I drops.

Predicted: a Lantern of Life / Lantern of Decay toggle that influences which entities can see you. Predicted: a protagonist mechanic tied to remembering prior Book heroes (maybe Yasu, Kai, and the Rage MC each grant one ability). Predicted: a Yuma chase segment where breaking line of sight is harder than Grin Demon because she teleports rather than runs.

Until Chapter I releases, treat these as educated guesses — CTStudio has been deliberate about not telegraphing gameplay before launch.

How to Prepare

Clear Rage Chapter I first — facility pacing and Aggression Mechanics are the closest to what Rebirth will demand.

Stock Revives from active codes (HOFDELAY and RAGERELEASE both active as of August 2026). Rebirth will likely launch with a one-life Nightmare variant tied to the next Hall of Fame cycle.

Study lore ties on the lore page so the crossover protagonist reveal makes sense when Chapter I ships.

Bookmark the Hall of Fame page — Nightmare speedrun windows for new chapters usually open with the launch, and your first clear time may be eligible for the leaderboard.
