The Mimic Hall of Fame

Updated: 2026-08-23

What Is the Hall of Fame?

The Hall of Fame (HoF) is a community leaderboard built into The Mimic that honors players who clear the latest chapter in Nightmare Mode faster than anyone else during a limited submission window. To qualify, a run must be completed on a properly functional account without exploiting scripts, noclip, or teleport glitches.

Unlike static community rankings, HoF runs are scored automatically by CTStudio's server-side timer. Your personal best time during the active window gets posted to the leaderboard. After the window closes, the leaderboard freezes and the top times earn exclusive lantern rewards and the Hall of Fame badge.

The HoF cycle is tied to major Chapter releases. When Rage Chapter I launched June 22, 2026, an associated Nightmare HoF window opened. We expect the same pattern when Rebirth Chapter I ships.

Current HoF Window — Rage Chapter I Nightmare

As of August 23, 2026 the active HoF window is Rage Chapter I Nightmare. Submit your single-life clean run during the active period to be eligible for the next leaderboard freeze. The HOFDELAY code was dropped alongside the HoF launch to give participants extra Spirits for consumable prep.

Limited-time lantern Shinisamu went off-sale recently (around the HoF freeze); check the in-game shop for any remaining bundles before the cycle ends. HoF participants historically earn the lantern for free via reward mail once the leaderboard finalizes.

If you missed Rage HoF, do not panic — every Chapter launch restarts the cycle. Rebirth Chapter I will bring its own HoF window with its own exclusive lantern.

HoF Rules & Verification

Run must be a single continuous Nightmare attempt — leaving and rejoining the chapter mid-run disqualifies the timer. Co-op runs are allowed but only registered to one account.

No scripts, noclip, teleport, or any external exploit. Anti-cheat scans replay data after the leaderboard freezes — past HoF cheaters were wiped within 48 hours of detection.

You must complete all chapter objectives. Speedrunning optional lore rooms is fine; skipping required keys or objectives invalidates the run.

Account must be in good standing. Banned accounts cannot submit or claim HoF rewards.

How to Submit a Run

Queue into the chapter in Nightmare Mode from the lobby. Your timer starts the moment the chapter loads.

Complete every required objective without leaving the instance. Your timer pauses if you disconnect but the run is invalidated.

Reach the chapter exit alive. Death ends the timer immediately and disqualifies the run.

After the leaderboard freezes, your best time appears on the in-game HoF board. Rewards (lantern, badge, exclusive cosmetics) arrive by in-game mail.

Tips for a Top-Tier HoF Run

Practice the chapter on Standard first until you can no-revive it consistently. HoF attempts with practice muscle memory beat raw talent.

Pre-clear optional lore on Standard to learn room layouts, then ignore them on HoF for time. Optional lore skips are legal.

Optimize lantern usage — high-brightness stable-beam lanterns like the top tier list picks prevent panic toggling that costs seconds.

Co-ordinate co-op callouts. Even with one player on the leaderboard, good squad callouts shave minutes off the timer. Use room labels from our maps pages as a shared vocabulary.

Do not waste Revives — HoF is single-life anyway. Spend Spirits on consumables that save time (e.g. faster sprint cooldowns if any exist) rather than defensive ones.

Past HoF Cycles (Reference)

Control Nightmare I (Mar 2023) — first revamped HoF window, introduced updated graphics and faster AI. Top times were around 1:48 for solo Nightmare of Control Chapter 1 (per community speedrun trackers).

Control Nightmare III (Apr 2024) — Sunken Kingdom HoF window, included a full Kintoru boss rework and new lore tablets. Top times around 17:24 for solo clear per community trackers.

Jealousy Chapter 4 HoF — closed Book II on a high-difficulty HoF cycle; rewards included the Jealousy finale exclusive lantern.

Rage Chapter I HoF (Jun 2026 – present) — current cycle, Shinisamu lantern reward, HOFDELAY code drop.
