Why Maps Matter
The Mimic difficulty is spatial — knowing which door is one-way, which hall amplifies sound, and which loop resets Hiachi or Biwaki saves more runs than any paid item. Map knowledge converts panic sprint into deliberate crouch routes.
Our map hub splits by book and mode: Control layouts for Chapters 1–4, Jealousy compounds with exterior-interior links, and Nightmare annotations for changed patrol timing.
Use maps with guides and entities — labels reference community callouts used in Discord LFG groups.
Navigation Conventions
Directions assume spawn-facing north unless noted. Room labels use community names (Shrine, Hub, Attic) preserved in English for clarity.
Solid lines are safe crouch routes on average patches; dashed lines need sprint bursts. Patch updates may shift spawns — check updated dates.
Co-op callouts: agree north/south before queue to avoid mid-run confusion.
Speedrun & Badge Routes
Speedrunners trim optional lore rooms — guides mark skip-safe vs required triggers. Badge routes sometimes forbid skips — read chapter guide badge sections.
